Desert Falcons Water Training: August 22, 2024

Last Thursday evening, the Desert Falcons gathered at Deira Creek for a spirited water training session. With everyone geared up and ready to go, it was clear this session would be one to remember.

Getting Ready

The call time was set for 7:00 PM, and by 7:15, the team was in full warm-up mode, getting those muscles stretched and prepared for the intense workout ahead. By 7:30, all eyes were on the water as everyone took their positions in the boat.

Team briefing

Teamwork in Action

Intan led the team as the steerer, guiding the boat through the calm waters. The team was a mix of seasoned paddlers and enthusiastic newcomers, all eager to contribute their energy and strength.

Tonette and Evie, taking the lead as pacers at the bow, set a steady rhythm for everyone to follow. Behind them, a strong lineup with Khaled, Mahmoud, Ging, Joven, and others powered through each stroke. Even the new paddlers like Kale and Chosen jumped right in, showing their determination to keep up with the more experienced members.

In Sync

The boat moved with precision as the team worked hard to stay in sync. It wasn’t just about strength; it was about harmony and timing. The more experienced paddlers offered guidance, helping everyone to maintain the rhythm that is so crucial in dragon boating.

Despite a few splashes, the team kept their focus, and the boat glided smoothly through the water. You could feel the camaraderie growing with each stroke, as everyone supported each other in reaching their full potential.
