The Desert Falcons gathered once again for an exhilarating evening of water training on August 13th, 2024, at QD's - Deira Creek. This session was particularly special as we welcomed guests from the Netherlands, adding an extra layer of excitement to our usual routine.

Evening Kickoff

With a call time of 7:00 PM, the team began their warm-up promptly at 7:15 PM, ensuring everyone was in peak condition for the session. The team loaded up at 7:25 PM, and by 7:30 PM, we were off, paddling under the guidance of our steerer, Intan.

The Line-Up

The boat was packed with both familiar faces and new paddlers, creating a dynamic mix of experience and fresh enthusiasm. Evie and JJ led the charge as the pacers, setting a steady pace for the rest of the crew. Onboard were seasoned paddlers like Ruby, Joven, Khaled, and Jobai, along with rising stars like Aby and Nafih.

We were also thrilled to have several first-timers, including Rutger from the Netherlands, who was joining us for the first time, and other newcomers like Moh, Shobith, Pawel, Ameer, and Nimal. Their energy and eagerness to learn were infectious, making the session lively and engaging.

Building Camaraderie

Throughout the training, the team focused on building strength, technique, and, most importantly, camaraderie. The mix of experienced paddlers and rookies worked together seamlessly, creating a supportive environment where everyone could thrive. The special guest, Rutger, brought an international flair to the session, and it was a pleasure to have him experience our team's spirit firsthand.

As the evening progressed, the crew's synchronization improved, demonstrating the power of teamwork and communication. Whether it was the seasoned hands of Lambert and IS or the fresh determination of our newcomers, each paddler contributed to the collective energy that defines the Desert Falcons.

Looking Ahead

As always, the Desert Falcons continue to grow stronger with each session, and the inclusion of new members only adds to the team's vibrant dynamic. We're excited to see how these new paddlers develop and integrate into our core team.
