Desert Falcons Water Training: 17th August 2024

Rise and Shine with Desert Falcon!

The sun was barely up, but the Desert Falcons were already gathering by the water at QD’s in Deira Creek for another exhilarating Saturday morning water training session. With a call time of 5:15 AM, the team was ready to hit the water with determination and camaraderie.

Getting Ready to Paddle

By 5:30 AM, the boats were loaded, and everyone was in position. Bolz, our steerer for the day, gave the final instructions as we prepared to start at 5:45 AM sharp. The team lined up in their respective positions, with Tonette and Evie leading as the pacer.

The Power of Teamwork

The energy on the boat was electric as the Desert Falcons worked in perfect unison. With every stroke, the team demonstrated their strength, coordination, and dedication. The balanced lineup—with experienced paddlers like Ferdz, JJ, and Len in the mix—provided a steady rhythm that kept the boat gliding smoothly across the creek.

Newer team members, including Khaled, Ging, and Sanju, brought fresh enthusiasm to the session, while the more seasoned paddlers like Ben, Lambert, and Yti offered guidance and encouragement. It was a perfect blend of experience and fresh energy, a hallmark of the Desert Falcons’ team spirit.

Special Moments on the Water

One of the highlights of the session was seeing the progress of the newer members, such as Kiran, Adarsh, and Ameer. Their dedication to improving their technique was evident, and it paid off as the team moved seamlessly together.

Under Bolz's skilled steering, the boat handled beautifully, even as the team pushed their limits. The teamwork, synchronization, and sheer determination of the Desert Falcons were on full display, making it a truly rewarding session.

Reflecting on the Session

As the training wrapped up and the boats were brought back to shore, there was a palpable sense of accomplishment among the team members. The camaraderie, the shared effort, and the beautiful morning on the water all contributed to another successful training day.

The Desert Falcons continue to grow stronger with each session, and the future looks bright for this dynamic team. Whether you're a seasoned paddler or new to the sport, the Desert Falcons offer a welcoming and challenging environment for everyone.
