Desert Falcons Water Training: September 3, 2024

On Tuesday evening, September 3rd, the Desert Falcons gathered at QD's in Deira Creek for their regular water training session. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as the team prepared for another evening of paddling and teamwork.

Getting Started

The call time was set for 7:00 PM, and by 7:20, the team was in full warm-up mode. Stretching, chatting, and getting mentally prepared, everyone was eager to hit the water. By 7:35, the boat was loaded, and the paddlers were in position, ready to start. With Intan steering, the crew knew they were in good hands.

On the Water

At 7:30 PM, the training officially began. Leading the boat were Tonette and JJ, who set a strong pace in the bow as pacers. Behind them, Khaled and Ging, Matt and Mahmoud, and the rest of the team worked hard to keep in sync. The lineup was solid, with both seasoned paddlers and newer members giving it their all.

Mikko, Neil, Steve, and Ricky, along with Dennis and Is, added power and rhythm to the middle of the boat, while Phelan, Nafih, Jacob, Amjad, Mary Ann, and Jan held the boat steady in the rear. Together, they covered a distance of 4,657 meters in a moving time of 52 minutes and 56 seconds. It was a strong performance, with everyone contributing to the smooth and powerful strokes that propelled the boat forward.

Team Spirit

The evening session was a mix of hard work and camaraderie. As the team pushed through the water, there was a real sense of unity. Everyone was focused, but there was also plenty of encouragement and support, especially for those still honing their skills. It’s this teamwork that makes every Desert Falcons training session special.

Wrapping Up

As the session came to an end, the team was tired but satisfied. They had put in the work and seen the results, covering nearly 5 kilometers with determination and skill. The Desert Falcons are more than just a team—they’re a family, and every training session brings them closer together.
